Work Performed: The Murad Center for
Inclusive Health is a state-of-the-art dermatological center located in El
Segundo, California that features laser treatment, peels and medical facials
all based around the Cellular Water Principle. SMI Millwork teamed with Chris
Barr Construction on this design build project to provide wood casework,
reception desks, product displays, conference areas and all miscellaneous
millwork. Most notable is the reception desk that includes the seamless
integration of stainless steel, quartered maple and translucent glass, all
surrounding an integrated freestanding fountain. All veneers were selected for
this project with a clear finish in mind. Panels were laid out to be sequenced
throughout the project.
