General Contractor: Herrero Contractors, Inc. - San Francisco, CA 94124
Architect: Starkweather Bondy Architecture LLP - Oakland, California
Contract Value: $320,000.00

Work Performed: Stuart Hall is a privet school in San Francisco located in a historical turn of the century building. SMI Millwork was contracted by Herrero Contractors to provide hi-end millwork throughout the common areas of the building. Rift White Oak with a custom colored stain was used to match the existing and adjacent historical finishes. The focal point of architectural millwork is and surrounded the stair case. SMI provided the skirt boards, newel posts and paneling that cover the steel frame structure as well as all of the wall and ceiling paneling. Integrated into steel stair railings are custom made balusters made to look like the original while meeting today's building codes, both capped off with a wood hand rail. Sticking with the historical nature of the building, SMI was responsible for the re-installation of the historical millwork in the lobby as well as an office fireplace. Also included in this project was the paint grade trim at the outer offices and hallways, including light wells.
