Work Performed
SMI Millwork was contracted by Edge Development to provide Finish Carpentry, Architectural Woodwork, Architectural Panel-work, Solid Surfacing Countertops and Custom Wood Doors for the Chaffey College Community Center and Health Sciences Buildings.

At the exterior of the buildings SMI provided the millwork covered operable and fixed doors. The fixed doors provide a Castle like exterior monument. These doors were clad with unfinished teak to provide a weathered look. The operable exterior steel framed doors were clad in rich mahogany panels and trim on the exterior.

The interior details matched the exterior of the 60" x 18' doors with the remainder of the hallway and ceiling detailed the same. At the meeting rooms door partition covers. This paneling, trim and doors were provided in a darker stained mahogany from floor to ceiling height of 18'. Ceiling and soffit paneling was also provided at the elevator lobbies and the entry/reception areas. Also included were laminated plastic cabinets with solid surface countertops in the classrooms and other miscellaneous trim.
